Notes to self to become the best version of myself as a top performing CEO

  1. Create a culture so that the most junior person can overrule the most senior person.
  2. Speak last in the meeting. In the order of seniority. Because even a slight change in opinion from the person you respect might change your bias away from the truth.
  3. Many of the successful companies started as products first. There are products that become companies and then there are companies that come up with a product. Be the former.
  4. Assign only one task to a person in the company. Until the deadline, speak only about that only thing to that person, nothing else.
  5. In the early stages when building teams, hire barrels not ammunition. Barrels are these strong driven, extremely talented people who handle the end-to-end process. Give them one simple task and if they do it phenomenally well, promote them, give them more tasks.
  6. Find a highly disrupted industry with low NPS, stitch together the value prop and do a vertical integration. This is a high chance of success.
